The Brigade

In ancient times they were known as The Salamanders, but in this modern age the role and task of the fire fighters of the city has greatly changed. more often they are called to fires caused by malfunctioning sparkcraft. They play a relatively neutral role across the city, with individuals playing a greater role than teams or even the organisation as a whole. they are either beloved for their life-saving heroism, or reviled for their looting and extortion rackets. Depending on who you ask you will get differing tales of those often known as Sallies, after their historic title.
