Leviathans

The modern Imperial society relies on the blood of Leviathans to power the machinery of the world. Despite this very little is truly known of these monstrous beasts. It is all that the crews of the Leviathan hunters can do to keep pace with these beasts as they breach the surface. Crews latch on via harpoons to keep them steady, row out on longboats and attach drills to pump what blood they can from the backs of these beasts before they submerge again. Each Leviathan is slightly different, and some of the hunting ships are specialised to catch them.
