Irondale

Irondale is a city of Black smoke and choking heat. located close to rich iron mines, the city has been here in some form since before the cataclysm. In this city arms and armour are forged for distribution across the empire. Rich deposits of metals make this a key strategic stronghold, they are mined constantly as they have been for centuries with further technological advances being brought in to increase the quality of the production and quantity.
While mining is the primary source of wealth for the city you can find smiths of all types here, from the giant workhouses producing on grand scales, to small artisans crafting intricate designs. if you have coin you can have something made here, whether by the clumsy hands of an apprentice or the masters delicate touch, and the mark of an Irondale craftsman is a seal of quality.
The buildings of this city stretch out between hollowed out mine deposits and the towering crags of the landscape. they constantly bellow smoke, the city enveloped in a constant dull orange glow from the fires that keep the city alive. in the docks haulers move to and fro carrying cargo out back to other centres of industry across the empire.
