The Unofficial Uniform of the Emin

Long before the history of Heffa's collapse, before the invasion of Ucita, even before the arrival of the Erdazans, the foundation was being laid for the group that would come to be known as the Emin. The Emin, which roughly translates to 'the guard', have no confirmed date of formation though it is known that it was sometime around the creation of the nation of Tetika which occured in 2290. The Emin were from the outset a group of Heffan's who sought to provide protection and aid to persecuted groups globally. This aid came in the form of material support in the form of food stores, medicine, financial relief, as well as ammunition and arms. The Emin were far from passive observers, at the groups peak they were capable of large scale mobilization boasting 40,000 enlisted troops. Against contemporary nation states this number is quite meager but at the time of the Tetikan independence movement it was no small force. Particularly because the group never engaged in direct action. Instead the group utilized strategic 'surges'. They never attempted to hold land but did offer support to the Tetikans when they did so. The group faded out as the world progessed into the mid 2300s though the groups ideology achieved resurgance in the wake of Heffan eradication in 2480. The rising support set the stage for the groups reformation in 2526 when Yima Haspa-Duezhi, a former ring pilot, unexpectantly returned. The group then formed around her and produced a large scale media campaign to encourage resistance to both Erdaza and Ucita. The group ultimately took up arms the following year in 2527 following the release of the Bussi report. Soon after the report was released the Ucita government responded by mobilizing troops to rush the lost blocks of Jiaobu in order to regain control. This event would come to be known as ' The Burning of Jiaobu' and it would claim the lives of thousands.   Following the massacre Awa Onyeka was elected to leadership and was central in the armament of the groups members. The Emin uniform consists of a forest green t-shirt with a circular burgundy patch. The green is meant to represent the fertile soil and life of Heffa and the button refers to the blood stamp pressed into the land by its killers. They uniformly wore brown pants with heavy black boots and an arm band in varied colors. The arm band and its color was to signify ones personal commitment to the cause. Popular colors included Yellow, to indicate optimism and idealism in regards to a new world. Red to represent either retribution or connection to a loved one who died in the collapse. Blue to indicate ones pursuit of a more peaceful world and brown to indicate that one is of Heffan descent, it was meant to symbolize home or soil and that one was fighting for it.  The groups arms were more varied as guns were often in limited supply. The most common armament was a chest holster, to hide under a coat if need be, that would carry a middle grade sidearm. Rifles were less common though the group occasionally had subgroups within their ranks who were expected to provide cover with long range ammunition.
