Raven Falls, Ferlian Jungle, and The Shattered Coast

Bordering the Donlirr Sea, these three interconnected locations make up the eastern shoreline of Serotonia. They are uncontrolled by a major power, as the mutual importance of the shore is recognized by all. Any attempts to take control of them would be met with overwhelming opposition.

Most prevalent, and arguably most influential, is the Ferlian Jungle. It's growth stretches the entire coastline, only ending where temperature and terrain prevent it's growth from encroaching to. The massive and diverse jungle provides habitat for some of the continent's most exotic creatures, and the dense fauna bears many wonders for those willing to explore it. Many detour their routes to pass through the Ferlian, resting in the thicket and recuperating with it's many fruitful yields. The jungle teems with life, and is a labyrinth of discovery for physical and magical wonders alike.

Throughout the jungle, the sound of raging rapids and wonderous waterfalls can be heard. Rivers from the north flow through the jungle, emptying into the coast and forming many waterfalls in their path. This concentrated collection of natural wonders has been dubbed "Raven Falls," an almost ironic name given the near lack of Ravens in the area. These falls gradually lower the elevation of the rivers, ending once the water has reached the coast.

At the edge of eastern Serotonia sits The Shattered Coast, a bunching of many small sand islands that was once a complete coastline. The raging waters from Raven Falls accelerated the erosion of the sandy coast, transforming it into the chaotic entry point to the Donlirr Sea that it is today. Freshwater winds through and surrounds the polka-dot terrain, merging with the seawater and giving the coast its "shattered" appearance. The lack of flat, solid terrain has prevented docks and other forms of ports from being constructed, forcing ships to avoid a large part of the coastline when attempting to anchor.
