Drake
Basic Information
Genetics and Reproduction
Reproducing through eggs, the standard incubation time for drakes in approximately 100 days. The eggs are fairly small in size and appear in clutches of up to three. However, most drakes can only reproduce about once per year and require large amounts of protein before laying an egg.
Growth Rate & Stages
The rate of growth for these creatures are directly linked with their access to meat and other forms of protein. The average drake will grow to approximately 5ft in height, but those in captivity or with access to larger prey can reach between 6 to 7 feet in height.
Ecology and Habitats
Drakes are very adaptive creatures, however their habitats are generally dependent on their scale color and correspond with the habitats of their larger dragon cousins.
Dietary Needs and Habits
Drakes require large quantities of protein, capable of hunting the largest of prey they can quickly fulfill this need without any assistance.
Biological Cycle
As these creatures mature, they shed individual scales as they are replaced. Drakes reach sexual maturity within five years and full size within fifteen.
