Crux-Splitting

A rite of passage within the old Domerian nobility, Crux splitting is the act of striking a Crux empowered knightly helmet with enough force to sink the blade a centimeter into it. A difficult, but not impossible task, many young nobles trained to achieve the feat, though it was mostly a matter of prestige within the younger cohort of nobles. The prestige of the act fading away into nothing with age. 
But older legends speak of true Crux-splitting. The act of splitting a Crux empowered helm into two pieces with a but single stroke. It is impossible, of course. No man or woman could preform such an act. To attempt it is folly, lunacy even. Surely there are none alive who could accomplish such a feat?
