Overseer of Time

He opened his eyes, dazed and confused. He clutched his head, desperately trying to keep himself together. The last thing he remembered was the battlefield. As he looked around, now fully lucid, his confusion became greater. This place he found himself in, it felt like the battlefield. But something was different. Where once there were littered thousands of bodies upon the desolate earth, there now grew beautiful flowers in abundance. Where once he had heard the cacophony of battle, now he only heard the ambience of nature. As he turned to survey his surroundings in every direction, death and violence had been replaced with life and peace.

"It truly is beautiful, isn't it?" A voice suddenly broke the relative silence. As the soldier whipped around to see from where the voice came, he found himself seeing a peculiar sight. A woman who had most certainly not been there before, clothed in strange garb and holding a timepiece, facing sideways to him and staring wistfully into the horizon. "This place was once so lovely, before the battle. So rich with life it was." She turned her head to face him. As he finally saw her face, a sense of profound peace washed over him, her gentle smile welcoming him into her presence. As he beheld her, he knew there was nothing to fear.

"But what we're seeing isn't the past. This vista is a vision of the future. Where once there was death, before too long there will be flourishing life." She spoke in a manner that suggested she had been in countless similar conversations, but had never grown tired of such interaction.

"I don't understand..." the soldier said. In his heart, he knew what this was, and who he was talking to, though he dare not admit it.

"I'm sorry, but... Well, you're dead." She said those words so bluntly and yet with such care that it was difficult for the soldier to react as he imagined he would. "I wanted to show you something beautiful first, to make you comfortable."

She slowly raised her arm to him, offering her hand for him to hold. "Come with me. It's time to go..."

Tetra has existed since the beginning of time, because she is time. She is the physical embodiment of the passing of ages, and she watches over all of us as a mother might watch over her children. However, she is not simply a goddess of time. She is also a goddess of death, and just as she saw all of us brought into this world, she will be there to escort us out of it when our time comes. She appears to all people. Men, women, children, the saints, the sinners, those who die together, and those who die alone. She will greet all of us, and offer her hand to walk with her into eternity...

Divine Goals & Aspirations

Tetra appears to all deceased, to greet them with the sight of a peaceful vista. Whether a vision of the past, the present, or the future, it is always a vision of the location where the person in question died, but in a state of calm and beauty. This is corroborated by those few people who have been lucky enough to become the target of True Resurrection magic. They all describe Tetra greeting them with a welcoming smile that gave them an immediate and overwhelming sense of calm and peace.

Physical Description

General Physical Condition

Tetra takes the form of a pale human woman of average height and slender build. Her body appears somewhat androgynous to the casual observer in most depictions, but those who have been through near death experiences and seen visions of her have claimed that she is most definitely a woman, matching the common interpretation.

Body Features

Tetra's skin is depicted as very pale, and her hair a slightly blue-ish silver. Her eyes are a piercing yellow, with one always covered by her long, curly hair.

Facial Features

Despite being female, her facial features, while somewhat feminine, appear androgynous and slightly difficult to distinguish in most depictions.

Special abilities

Tetra's power is immeasurable. As the first of the elder gods, she is the most powerful entity in all of creation, with the sole exceptions of Dohmis himself and the void of chaos, Farlorath. She is the physical embodiment of time, and possesses unlimited control over its progression. At the snap of her fingers, she can cause time to stop, slow, speed up, reverse, or anything else she desires. Beyond that, she is seemingly omniscient and omnipresent, able to be anywhere and anywhen at once. Anything else can only be left up to speculation, and almost anything imaginable could be true.

Apparel & Accessories

The Overseer of Time is commonly depicted in a rather peculiar garb. She wears two-layered coat which flows in the wind, one layer black and the other white, with two separate collars, under which she wears a strange black garment which clings to her neck and wrists, with a blue infinity symbol emblazoned on the chest. On one side of her coat's chest sits a small pocket, and on the other, a depiction of an Agaphilo Butterfly which rests upon her heart. On her lower half, she wears a pair of white dress pants, belted at the waist, and a pair of black dress shoes. She holds a peculiar timepiece, small enough to fit in the palm of her hand.

Personal history

The exact history of an elder deity is far beyond the capacity of us mere mortals to ponder. When Dohmis first appeared from the void of chaos, his first act was to cause time to flow. And with that, Tetra was born. Whether she was always called such, or even if she has always been a she, is unknown. Some have their own interpretations of her history, and of course there are myths passed around. Unverifiable, and only Tetra herself can confirm or deny. Some people even believe that all possible interpretations are both true and false, and Tetra simply gains amusement from the speculation. We may never know...

Social

Mannerisms

Tetra's mannerisms are deliberately engineered to instill a sense of peace and calm in those with whom she converses. She presents herself not as an almighty force to be worshipped on the spot, but as a peer who only wishes to ease people into eternity. She is reported as being a rather jovial conversation partner after the initial greeting, and comes off as surprisingly relatable given her divinity.
