Vera

Vera is a 16 year old bear person. She lives in the Den of beasts with her father and other folklore creatures.
She is an energetic, bubbly person with a strong love of fun and goofiness. She has no trouble dancing, singing, or acting silly in front of others. Living a life unaccepted by society has led her to embrace the parts of herself that people may not approve of. She strongly believes society has a warped view of right and wrong and how to live should be determined by ones own wishes, not what is acceptable. She is also very kind and genuine to those she likes, her people skills and communication skills are good, and she tends towards impulsiveness rather than overthinking.
She grows very close with Morrow and Silva, and develops a deep understanding with Rhyboldt. The two of them eventually get together, and are inseparable long before that.

History

She is the daughter of one of the most powerful folkloric creatures there is, the bear dad. She has lived in a few places over her life but currently lives in the den of beasts in east Dobrava. Her dad is ambitious and influential, and has trained Vera to be just as capable as he is so that she can follow in his footsteps. Her dad is also verbally abusive, pushes her too hard, and tries to manipulate her view of the world.

Abilities

She has the ability to change between human form and a humanoid bear form, which grants strength, energy, and very tough leathery skin beneath her fur. She can withstand much more damage in bear form and her tough skin lets her shrug off slashes and blunt force attacks. Peircing her skin can still hurt, though her skin is somewhat resistant to puncturing. She also has years of training under her father. In battle she can think quick, leading to a fighting style that is both animalistic and calculated.
