The Glaziers

There are constant rumors about the oddities of this world. From creatures appearing in unlikely biomes to tears in the sky expelling mysterious substances, abnormality is considered common - to a point. When the rumors become too widespread and dangerous that is when they be are mobilized their influence may be visible to those most discerning. They are seen and yet unnoticed. They work quickly and quietly. Their goal: watch over that which is broken and preserve it so that the pieces do not truly fall apart.

Roles

The Glaziers are a secret organization that spans the globe. Their mission is to protect the civilian population from the misfortunes that arise from the ever-present cracks that still exist between Divimeer and it’s original plane of existence. With this sole mission in place, there are several sects of the organization with different responsibilities.

Counselors

The highest ranking members of the organization. These individuals oversee all the organization’s functions by keeping tabs on the leaders of each of the subdivisions. This is all that the other members of the organization know they do. A select few members of other divisions have seen a Counselor. However, no one knows all the Counselors except for the Counselors themselves. The group has been estImated to contain anywhere from 5 to 50 people by those in other subdivisions who have attempted to research then.

Guardians

These members are positioned after the Counselors the hierarchy. Guardians are martial magic users whose job is to guard the large, established physical tears. For some this involves consistent emergence of monstrous creates, and for others it involves clean up of unidentified ichor, and others still are waiting for when the nearly repaired seal to see if they can finally do other work.   For some, this job involves warding off consistently emerging of monstrous creatures, and for others it involves clean up of unidentified ichor, and others still are waiting for when a nearly repaired tear to be deemed safe and permanently sealed - a task with only an empirical method of determined success. Once a Guardian’s tear is declared sealed, they may be assigned a new post, offered a teaching position for new a Guardians, or be asked to return to society as a Whisper until a new tear appears.

Seekers

Members who go out to stabilize the tears when they first appear. This typically involves eliminating dangers that are emitted from it, shrinking it, and in some cases completely closing it. Once the situation has reached some stable point, Guardians are called to maintain the tear, and hopefully over time, diminish it.

Whispers

Members who live amongst civilians with training to eliminate gossip and hearsay that directs to a tear. If they hear of new occurrences in connection to a new tear, they inform each other and relay it to the Counselors

Symbol

An eye created out of broken bits of glass. One piece is detached such that it is dangling, but the rest are joined together like a stained-glass window.

Attire

Other than on rare occasions where group gatherings occur, it is typically hard to tell a member of The Glaziers apart in a crowd. However, members that are to meet and confirm their identity with one another may have the symbol of the organization with the initial of their rank within the iris of the eye. This is positioned somewhere that can easily be be made visible. Whether that be an inner collar or undershirt that may be flipped and made visible. This symbol may be embroidered, drawn, or marked in another manner. Alternative methods are possible, but this is deemed the most secure.   In group gatherings, members are to wear all black with a visible article of clothing symbolizing their position. Red for Seekers, green for Whisperers, purple for Guardians. The Counselors then where black robes with trim of the three colors.

Recruitment

Nearly all recruitment is done by family connection or individuals very close to the family. In some rare cases, someone that accidentally discovers the organization may be allowed entry, but a thorough check of their background is carried out. (In even more rare cases the group is intentionally sought out and those individuals are put in front of the Counselors for evaluation.)   If they refuse for whatever reason, like a member of the organization preparing to leave, an advanced Seeker wipes their memory.
