Metahuman

People born with an ability. Metas have been around since the dawn of man, and it is widely believed the first recorded Metahuman was the Sumerian King Gilgamesh. Since then, meta births have slowly become more and more common. It is now believed that about 10% of the human population are Metahuman. Some think that the number is much higher and that most have conditional powers that are too difficult to activate. 
In ancient times, Metahumans were believed to either be living gods, Children of the gods or Blessed by God. It wasn't till the age of modern science that this belief was thrown by the wayside.
