Rose is quite a tall woman, reaching nearly 6 feet in height, a with a decently muscular stature that seems contrary to her day-to-day lifestyle. Her hair is long a beautifully curly, though she very rarely has it down and often opts to keep it tied up in elaborate headscarves. Rose prefers to dress in almost a bohemian princess fashion, with lots of natural colors, flowing skirts and blouses, and large amounts of beautiful jewelry. She also tends to outline her brilliant brown eyes with gold pigment, often dusting it on her cheeks and skin as well.
Personality:
Roses' personality is as brilliant as the gold she glows with. She is vibrant, happy, and full of life. She loves everyone and everything - there is not a bad bone in her body. Rose fully encompasses the ideals behind the Dinotopian way of life in that she promotes health and happiness for all. When not working, Rose can be found volunteering at various areas around Dinotopia, from the Rookery to the Hatchery, the orphanage, the hospitals, and elderly homes. Rose firmly believes in living life to its fullest, and for her that means living life to help others. She is passionate and dedicated to her home city of Sauropolis. In addition to her volunteer work, Rose also loves to surf and is very close friends with the dolphins.
History:
Rose grew up with very loving parents in Waterfall City. Her grandmother was a Dolphinback and Rose was always enthralled by her stories. That, of course, led her to the water, where she began her friendship with the dolphins and learned to surf alongside them.
She met Bronwyn when she was around 6 years of age and the two quickly became the best of friends. Bronwyn was far more wild than Rose, so Rose served as a nice buffer to keep them out of too much trouble. However, when Bronwyn turned 12, she was shipped off to Canyon City to train with the Skybax Corp. Rose, on the other hand, moved with her parents to Sauropolis. There, Rose got an apprenticeship with the local fisherman and her expertise with the dolphins made her a valuable asset. However, her passion was not with fishing - she wanted to do more for the people than simply provide them with food.
She bounced around from one job to the next until one day she attended a local city hall meeting with her father and saw the Council of Elders in person. After the meeting, she managed to snag Gulja Clanridge for a few words. The Councilwoman was so impressed by young Rose that she offered her an apprenticeship, and the rest was history. Rose soon became Gulja's primary assistant and also the Council record keeper. She spends her days sitting on on meetings and learning the ins and outs of Dinotopia's politics and offering her own insight when asked by her mentor.
