Vaëlian religions all share the characteristic of being extremely matriarchal, but their structure changes based on the specific cult.
Mythology & Lore
The Ergorevan is the tome in which are collected all of the founding myths, tenets of faith and codes of conduct which all Vaëllian religions and sects hold in common. The central myths include recounts of the Creation, of the Age of Gods and the Wars of Divinity, which are inherited but adapted from the ancient Geminian religion. For example, Vaëlddra is viewed as being the spawn of Good and the source of all life, while Darsarth is the spawn of Evil and seeks to destroy all that Vaëlddra built, and he and his minions essentially replaces the Eharg from the original Geminian myths.
Political Influence & Intrigue
Cultures in which the Vaëlian religions dominate tend to share the characteristics of wanting to emulate their perceived notion of Vaëlddra and being extremely adverse to anything linked to Darsarth. As such, colours of luck tend to be black and gold, whereas silver is associated with death. Also, they tend to be more passionate countries and care a lot about concepts such as honour, courage, military prowess, justice and brute strength, sometimes to exaggerated and rash degrees. They also tend towards self-righteousness and conquest.
