Mechanics & Inner Workings

One or many sidumar charges are loaded into the magazine of the rifle. When the safety is activated, the chamber for the charges is hermetically locked. This allows for the energy of defective charges to be contained in the gun instead of exploding in the user's face. When the trigger is pulled, a mechanism inside the rifle will briefly open the active charge, leading to a brief and powerful burst of whatever Talent or Gift has been infused into the sidumar charge. This burst carries down the barrel, which focuses it towards the target. Higher grade sniper rifles have mechanisms to contain and amplify the bursts of power in order to get more efficiency from the charge capsules, and others, the ones with magazines that take more than one charge, are multifunctional, meaning that the type of charge used can be swapped out. Some rifles alo have controls which allow the user to determine the width and length of each shot.
