Hagi

Capital of Hivokia and seat of King Grisfin. Hagi was built upon the ruins of the Andxrathi Empires seat of power within Hivokia which was itself built upon the ruins of a Titan city. Hivokian buildings with their tiered, gabled roofs that come to a point, sit amid stone building with tall columns, high arches and domed roofs of the Andxrathi architecture, all of it dwarfed by the enormous, sleek towers of the Titans, with every surface carved into flowing, organic knotted patterns and its geometrically perfect opening and entry ways built on a scale enormous in comparison to the buildings around it. Since the coronation of King Grisfin a lot of new building work has also taken place. Pelonian architecture in the form of single story, round, yurt like buildings, have sprung up in response to the increased centaur population as well as the conversion of existing structures to better suit equine anatomy.
Hagi is known for its decadence, being the home of the court. Every Noble Clan of Hivokia is expected to maintain a home in the city which is occupied by at least one member of the Clans first family at all times. This resident is the Clans representative at court, tasked with making the needs of the Clans known to the Monarch. The Law requiring that the representative be a member of the Clans first family means that they also embody the role of hostage to the Monarch.
Intrigue is rife among the aristocracy, being a game of life and death under the new Pelonian King during the current civil unrest. The court jockeys for power, and influence from the King, assuring him of their loyalty and that of their family while working to expose the weaknesses and plots of rivals.

As the seat of power in Hivokia, Hagi is at the pinnicle of everything from technology to arts and learning. It boasts many fine libraries and universities as well as aquaducts, watermills and windmills.

Description: The tavern is a stone-walled and large single storey building, with a black shingled roof and shuttered windows. A small dragon's skull hangs over the hearth. It contains low ceilings and a huge collection of exotic teas behind the bar. A magical mirror in a locked room opens a portal.
