Long before the trade routes began to boom and create the locations known today, there were two brothers, Majyn and Terrance; both skilled and highly regarded Wizard Generals of the Imperial Regime, brought many victories to the Empire, bringing the Yuan Ti that infested and ran the land that is now the country of Harbrige, to their knees and fall under the rule of the Empire, or face extinction. After a long and brutal war, the Black Scales surrendered to the two brothers after a tragic and devastating use of magic made most of the once luscious and beautiful jungle and forested region mostly a harsh desert. Once the wars were over, Terrance left the Regime because his brother was so overcome with power he drifted down the road of darkness, becoming a Lich. Being cast out of the Regime because of his brother informing the Emperor of his actions, he tricked Terrance into Lichdom, by faking bringing their relations to amends. The brothers had a discourse, and Majyn appeared to be the victor, and became Mal'Frun, meaning the General of Dead. Terrance left from the Imperial Dominion and left for Harbrige, to try and find amends for his war crimes he helped commit. Mal'Frun followed, looking for an army to command to bring down the Empire he once served; and in search of a legend he heard the Black Scales told to bring hope to their young, about a ring made by a Dwarfish and Yuan Ti smith. The ring would grant any desire the bearer requests, and was made to spite the gods long ago, and to help stop the oncoming war against the Empire. The Dwarf made the ring and the Yuan Ti cast a ritual on it to give it power, and made a phrase unlock the power of the ring.     Long he searched before being found by a faction of Paladins hired by the Empire to hunt him. He defeated almost all who apposed him, but was almost brought to near death by a Paladin known as Milderhardt, who worshiped the Goddes Stella Ursa, the Goddess of Glory, Honor, and Justice. In what Milderhardt thought was Mal'Frun's final moments, Mal'Frun cast a spell on him, making him under the Lich's control. He command he murder his fellow Paladins, and he couldn't help but obey. He couldn't stop, and he broke his oath to Ursa. Milderhardt, still under Mal'Frun's grasp, followed him as a thrall. Years pass and no ring recovered, Mal'Frun has a Lair constructed somewhere in the desert, and waits there devising a plan, raising his fallen warriors to be undead and serve their General once again. But, the Legend of The God's ring still is heard from by the descendants of the Black Scales, and they still search and look for the ring, knowing that HE is still out there somewhere.Decades pass, and the tale of the brothers becomes Legend, a tale told as a lesson to children the dangers of misusing magic and war.

Harbrige, "The Sands of Rebirth"

Civilizations being to boom across Harbrige once again, and because of its location in the center of the continent, became a hub for trade and commerce throughout the land. Towns began popping up next to the major oases, and the biggest oasis, housed the City of Paradise, a large city of Marble that hosts many festivals year round and a bazaar full of trade. Chen is a small village of Monks, who know many things and were once soldiers under Terrance's rule, seeking inner peace to what they had once done. They know a lot of knowledge of Mal'Frun and the tactics he uses, and prepare for his eventual attacks to the people of Harbrige. Kudat is a city owned by the monopolists that control most of the trade routes, and serves as a massive fort for the Regime. Housing a colosseum for many different events, such as Gladitory tournaments, plays, concerts, and what ever the Lord could possibly think of. He used it for the wedding of his daughter once! It also houses the Regime's prison, and they use some of the prisoners for the Tournaments sometimes. Borab is the smallest town in Harbige, its used as an Outpost for the Regime, to stop and resupply before trekking into the desert. The town is nicknamed, "Criminal's Paradise," because it was and is still run by Cutt throats and charlatans who work the mining in the town. Mal'frun has found some influence here, starting a cult following within the ranks of the Regime and Bandits a like. Began is a city in the southwester mountain border of Harbrige and Vull. Its one giant, gated community of Dwarves who stay secluded and don't try to let many outsiders in. It's export is beautifully crafted weapons and armor, with almost no parallel.
