Desolation

What is the scourge? A devouring swarm? A single creature? A ravenous beast? A spell? Perhaps all of the above… An aberration summoned by the scholars of the former imperial college of arcane weapons and manufacturing, the scourge can take many forms, though it has not been witnessed in years. When it ravaged the world, the scourge was in the form of a massive beast, capable of wholesale destruction, the likes of which have never been seen again. Ironically, those who created this destruction were the ones first destroyed by it, and their cities razed first. Now, 15 years after the destruction of the Continent, adventuring parties are allowed to once again roam the dead world and see what else has survived.
