Syrenis are oviparous, north Syreni reproduction works as the hippocampus's one, the female generate the eggs and the male the male incubates them in his own stomach. South Syreni just deposes the eggs.

The Syrenis can breathe underwater and have an extraordinary resistance to cold and hot, The northern one can see in the dark, due the fact that the night for them is longer.
