With the ground ripped open and the Ankheg in full display the fight was on. And despite the intent of the creatures and the goblins that controlled them only a single local fell to their blades. As the combined arms and magics of the party swiftly dispatched the
Goblin kin and their creatures while scaring away the chitinous horrors.
As the group sprung into defense of the locals, drawing the attention of invaders many of the locals could escape to the safety of
Lathander's Vigil from where they assisted the fight with bows and magic. Which left none of the goblinoids alive.
With the goblin attack fended off, the group had a mere moment to catch their breath. After which more bad news reached them. As it has seemed that a seperate attack a little north of town had taken place, which had targeted a group enjoying a show of
Lamberto, the travling merchant on the edge of town. Luckily for the locals
Holly,
Rosa and the crew of the Tasman where their to protect the locals. But despite their best efforts the goblins still managed to kitnap Ivan (8yo) and his father (Lukas).
But with a renewed zeal, the locals of
Inverness made preperations to burry Linus, the man slain in the fight and stationed guards on the edge of town to ensure they wouldn't be caught this easily. In addtion the local hunter
Erlan set out to figure out where the goblins went and entered the tunnels from where the goblins attacked.
With the Village somewhat stable once again, the group finaly could take a breather, sat down in
The Elderberry Inn here
Thornik the local blacksmith approached them, with a request and a concern. As it had seemed that his daughter (
Melanie) and her friends could be in danger from the goblin attack and he needed to make sure she was ok. And a little while later the group, despite being spend and bruized set out, togther with
Alexander in full gear and
Thornik wielding a hefty axe.
