Proud warriors all

The Kypriots are the descendants of the proud warriors of Old Ortysia who carved their supremacy through blood and bronze. In Kypros, might is paramount and might alone decides the fate of oneself. Only the strong survive in this land, deformities and other weaknesses are not tolerated and are removed from the bloodlines of Kypros. In Kypriot society there are only rulers and warriors, slaves make up a large bulk of population and foreign craftsmen and merchants are always permitted in Kypros as long as they are providing useful good and economic stimulation, peddlers of cheap or fraudulent goods are punished and banished from the land. Magic is also completely un needed in Kypros, being seen as a chaotic and destructive force that takes life without honor. Kypriot legend says the wizards in Old Ortysia were driven out generations ago, bringing peace and order to the land.
In Kypros the higher in the ladder you are, the harsher your upbringing. Kings of Kypros are given the most brutal, harsh childhoods to ensure they will have the strength to lead their people. Every year, a new guardian is assigned to the future king each with a new sylabi of values to teach to the king and when he comes of age these guardians all return to his service to act as his personal advisors and bodyguards, if they survive to that point. A similar practice is applied to the entire noble class whenever able, so that all leaders and nobles are proven men.

Naming Conventions Every Kypriot has a first name, a middle name consisting of the fathers name in the case of a son or the mothers name in the case of a daughter or an ancestors name followed by "-Os" followed by the name of their personal familial clan or 'house'
