Bezy

The Proud Riders

The Bezyl Hetmanate, is a centralized, militaristic monarchy which utilize hosts as its main divisions of troops and regional sectors of governance. Frontier lands are administered by high ranking officer knights known as Voivods who are tasked with holding the Hetmans territory. The military is very intertwined with civilian life such that craftsman guilds are official logistical regiments and institutions such as banks are financial support for the Hetmans soldiers. As such the Bezy are a very proud and disciplined people, though not all of them now are the highly esteemed riders of old, the society is very equine. Magic is a welcomed useful institution and most wizards are automatically given ranks as officers and resources are afforded to them for their research.
The Great Hosts of Bezyl are competitive with each other, much like the Great Houses of Thuladon, however the Bezy are still a peace loving people, simply being prepared for war. Most low ranking soldiers stay that way for their entire lives and are required to serve the state in some capacity as farmers, craftsmen or traders. Those who show martial aptitude or are well connected, gain rank and move up the military ladder at which point they become full time professional soldiers and leaders. There are a variety of units for a Bezy to fall into such as light and heavy cavalry, melee and ranged infantry and more.

Character

Naming Conventions Bezy are given a first name and family name. Their middle name consists of an ancestors name followed by 'ovych' this ancestor can be anywhere from a father to a great great great grandfather.
