City-state Néadhôn
The city-state of Néadhôn startet off as the twin city of the ancient human world metropolis known as Alexandria. While the fate of Alexandria is known, Néadhôn however continued to exist and expand. Today, Néadhôn is the most important location for the Clándhia people, aside from the The Temple. The city presents an international stronghold of knowledge, power and science.
History
Néadhôn was created as the twin city of ancient Alexandria. The citites were created during the time, that the Clándhia had decided to share their advanced knowledge with the human world. Both cities had a library each dedicated to storing and collecting that knowledge. The library of Alexandria of course being famous until this day in the human world. The Conspiracy The cooperation between the Clándhia and the humans came to a point at which it was discussed to share magic with the humans. The Clándhia society was very divided on that topic. It is not completely known, what transpired during this period of discussion, but the library of Alexandria was burnt down completely. Thoug nobody could pin the action on any group in particular, the incident was the main reason to stop all cooperation with the human world. It was argued that the humans did not respect the knowledge and progress that they had been given by the Clándhia. What followed was the complete stop of all communication between the worlds, all permanent man-made portals were destroyed. And nobody got into contact with the human world ever again. To this day, there are rumors that a Clándhia that opposed sharing magic with the humans initiated the destruction of the library.Present Day
Today, the city-state of Néadhôn presents the most powerful of the Clándhia countries. Just how the The Temple is the spiritual capital of the Faith of the Eight, Néadhôn is its the political capital. The city-state holds high economical significance as well as keeping a big enough army to have been kept out of conflicts with all of their neighbours so far. Their reputation commands respect internationally. Néadhôn keeps a strict policy, that only Clándhia are allowed within the city walls. They do not however refrain from selling their research and knowledge to everyone in the world. The Crest
The crest of the city-state reminds of the symbol of the Faith of the Eight as a whole. The two blue hands are a clear nod towards that. The only thing added is the blue book in between them, representing the history and origin of Néadhôn.Pictures in this article were created by me with the Microsoft Designer AI.
