Citadel Demain

Heart of the Scourge, and a testament of law this black iron bastion watches over the city with an eye of scrutiny and a hand of order.

Purpose / Function

The citadel has two main functions, the first is to house the scourge, the second is to educate. TheOrder of the Scourge holds fast to its defenses here and is capable of repelling a siege on its walls without the aid of Califas. Part of this is due to the orders distrust of the throne, as such if a trial were to be held against the queen the citadel stands ready to defend itself while justice is arbitrated.
The second function is to educate the chelish people of their laws, they train lawyers and judges that disseminate into the whole of New Cheliax keeping the best to become armingers and eventually true members of the scourge.

Architecture

Jagged black spikes adorn the set of three towers the insides being fashioned of stone and steel. Courtrooms are left cold lit by ever-burning flames that produce no heat, only flickering light.
