Many lizardfolk have preferred to stay reclusive in the present day, but Rusk has chosen to remain close to society. Those curious enough to engage in lengthy conversation end up learning of his wild beliefs in dragonborn conspiracy theories and a great fear that if he returns home his family will be found and hunted, for the Greenclaw were once harvested for their valuable, emerald-like talons. Although Rusk is kind and considerate to many, one thing is for certain: he has no love for Hobgoblins, Duergar, or the Dragonborn.
This estranged member of the Greenclaw tribe has traversed the coast bouncing between freelance work and gathering information on the dragonborn in Black Rock. Rusk may not have the most approachable demeanor, but those who have shared words with this lizardman know him to, at the very least, be a creature of good intentions.

Physical Description
General Physical Condition
Rusk is a large, imposing figure, at least to non-lizardfolk. He's a girthy, barrel-chested fellow with a thick, meaty tail that drags behind him on land. The dense muscle of his figure coils under layers of hard, leathery scales and from the THUD of his steps, he probably weighs quite a bit.
Body Features
Green scales and a yellow underbelly are his most notable features. Golden fins run down his head and back and end in a heavy, rudder-like tail for moving swiftly under water.
Facial Features
Inspection of his muzzle would uncover a pair of thick whiskers and a narrow spindle protruding from the bridge of his snout that ends in a tear-shaped orb. His eyes are a pale green that blends in with his scales at first glance.
Identifying Characteristics
Giant raptor-like toe on each foot and a wide, heavy tail. His claws grow to the consistency of precious gemstones. Greenclaws, quite literally, have claws made of emerald which they were once harvested for to near extinction. Because of this, Rusk keeps his hands and feet wrapped up tight.
Physical quirks
His 'leisurely' gait is sluggish and slow with his tail dragging behind him. Rusk prefers to be in water when possible, and doesn't enjoy his scales getting dry.
Apparel & Accessories
Keeps it simple with a loincloth, spaulders and gem-crested armguards. Around his waist is a belt that holds three emerald claws and in his hand is a trident draped in seaweed.

Light-hook lifts when curious or interested in something. Drops his tail on the ground when irritated. Scales on throat expand and turn black when angry.

Rusk rinses his scales by submerging his massive body in water and thrashing around. Because of the watertight nature of scales, he doesn't carry a strong odor on land.

Religious Views
An avid worshipper of Silvanus, the Oak Father. Rusk serves his religion in small ways, be it in the planting of flora, the study of balance, and the preservation of nature. After the abolishment of slavery, the reptilian followers of Silvanus grew humble and grateful. Many clans peacefully coexist now, acting similar to an extended family instead of resuming the bitter rivalries that had existed in times' past.
Social Aptitude
Quiets down when in crowds of non-lizardfolk. Extremely charismatic in 1x1 conversations and small groups. Has a self-deprecating sense of humor and does what he can to boost morale.
Mannerisms
Not the most 'civilized' reptile to walk the land, that's for sure. Rusk is a messy eater, knocks things over without realizing, and generally doesn't care what people think about it.
Hobbies & Pets
Spends as many daylight hours as possible basking in sunlight, often in places he's not supposed to be (not that anyone is brave enough to move him). At night he stays active by hunting, making pottery, and doing odd jobs.
Speech
Tends to hiss his S's and drops his R's. His sentences are strung together with a deep, guttural growl that can make him difficult to understand.
Wealth & Financial state
He makes decent money doing freelance work but spends most of his currency on toys and baubles left in an underwater cache for a clan member to recover.
