Sanitary Bubble

A large Foren case for elves who become ill with anything contagious. Manufacturers create many different sizes and shapes to account for all needs.

History

Sanitary bubbles were first used when the purple magic first invaded Risel, around the year 810. The first bubbles were made of a crude, unrefined Foren that often was easily punctured during development. Upon mass refinement of Foren in 1231, the bubbles became significantly cheaper to create and store, and their value decreased to mere cents.
Because of the ease of creation, in modern days bubbles are used for anything that's even slightly contagious. Whether or not they are still viable in protecting elves against the purple magic has yet to be solidified. Many believe they are useful, purely because of the physical distance put between the user and others in their environment. However, in the modern creations, a bit of win is often added to the Foren mixture in more sophisticated bubbles to allow a small area of magical passing. This is mainly used for doctors to keep track of specific illnesses of magic, but it could also open the patient up to the purple magic getting into the bubble in the same way.
Effectiveness of the bubbles against the purple virus is still under investigation
