Mind Screen
A tool that allows the user to share their current thoughts and memories with those nearby by turning the user's magic physical within a small radius.
It's most often used for sharing memories, and is a very common item in the medical field. It's also popular in the Engineering & R&D communities for sharing design ideas more cohesively.
This is one of the safest ways for elves to share their internal thoughts without risking their energy being attacked or infected.

Mechanics & Inner Workings
Varstel Kreemins worked vernal into a shape that allowed an elf's magic to flow into a device, through a screen, and out into physical space. Other than the small amount of magic infused into the vernal during the manufacturing process, nothing special is done to the device to allow it to function. As long as an elf's energy is strong enough to work its way past the magical screen, their current thoughts will be physically displayed.
Manufacturing process
The only special step in the manufacturing process is in the creation of the screen. A light reverse barrier is placed on the screen to amplify the magic that travels through it. The reverse barrier is not special, and can be made by anyone with any magic type.
Then a win casing is formed to hold the screen and protect it from minor damages.
Lastly, a pointer, usually made of win, is attached to the backend of the screen. This allows the user to aim their thoughts in a specific direction and move the display when needed. The pointer can also be made from Foren or vernal, but the signal will be significantly weakened with a Foren pointer, and won't be as durable if made from vernal.

History
The Mind Screen was invented by the brilliant Head of R&D at Gerhann's Academy, (at) Varstel Kreemins, in 3017. It was quickly mass produced and widely distributed, becoming a staple for many in the industry within just a few years.
By 3114, general use of the screens had spread to the point where most who spoke in public always had at least one on hand. Having the option to keep their energies hidden while still holding conferences meant more upper-class elves and visionaries were able to share their ideas without fear of immediate retaliation. This provided a much-needed safety net to the R&D community, who had, until then, been targeted by many of the common elves with infectious magic and prepared tools. In 3192, a different version of the Mind Screen was created specifically for medical use, called the Memory Saver. The Memory Saver acquired several upgrades soon after, mostly aimed at the storage and cleansing of its held memories.
