The Origins of Magic
Magic in Polaris is simply an expressive combination of Ar'duan, Invexius, and Aef'endyr in an individual or location, and is not inherently good or evil, as the user's intent and actions decide the consequences of a spell or other kind of weaving. This leads to a vastly diverse array of schools and disciplines of the Weave, and allows for Weavebinders to specialize in very particular uses of magic. However, since the Reckoning, the number of Weavebinders who could wield this power effectively has decreased dramatically, with Seers in particular practically vanishing from the face of Dar'len'myer.
