Ethereal Plane
Running through all the other planes, just above the surface, connecting them all, is the Ethereal Plane, a pathway to the afterlife that can be used as a shortcut from place to place. One must be careful when passing through however, because alive or dead, if they are caught by Esyn, they will be ushered to their afterlife immediately, even if it means sending the living to their doom.
Geography
The Ethereal Plane looks like a washed-out picture of the real-world area it intersects with, but time and space are more malleable, and one can travel much faster, traversing thousands of miles in the blink of an eye, or waiting a few seconds in the Ethereal Plane to pass days in the Mortal Plane.
Fauna & Flora
Many spirits live here, from the souls of non-sapient creatures who have passed on, but have no concept of good and evil, to mortal souls on the run from Esyn, looking for a way back to the Mortal Plane.
