Economics

Economic Strength

Before the Death of King Noah

As a king, Noah did a good job with keeping the financial state of the kingdom stable. He made sure not to make any unpayable debts and consistently checked the kingdom's economy to make sure things were going smoothly. Daloria was a kingdom that many merchants really liked to work in simply because things are so stable that making money for them was incredibly easy and relaxed.

After the Death of King Noah

Once King Noah was killed, the economy took a big dip. There was no one to make sure that the economy was in check and everyone started to steal. Almost immediately the flow of money stopped and single-handedly destroyed the economy. What was once a dream to be a successful merchant in Daloria is now in shambles.

Wealth Distribution

Before the Death of King Noah

Noah made sure that the economy and the flow of money flowed smoothly. Unfortunately for the vast majority of Daloria, money flow was not smooth and the economy was really bad. In Noah's eyes stable economy and money flow meant that the wealth hoarded most of the money and the peasants would not get that much. King Noah did a good job at this idea and most of the population of Daloria are peasants. Most of them barely make it from day to day. The wealth was only distributed among the wealthy.

After the Death of King Noah

Once Noah was killed, the economy went down. The flow of money stopped almost immediately after Jesus announced the end of the world. The peasants basically did whatever they wanted for the remainder of their time left. That meant stealing from shops and the wealthy. The wealthy did not know what to do or how to protect themselves because they never had to work for their money. All they did was cheat the system while the peasants understood hardwork and the hardships. Fighting for their lives was something that most peasants did on a daily basis. When the peasants attacked the wealthy, the wealthy did not know how to defend themselves or fight back. As a result, the wealthy were quickly disposed.

Agriculture and Trade

Before the Death of King Noah

Agriculture has always been stable. Most people grew their own foods while some other farmers grew surplus and sold the extras at the town's marketplace. Trade is not as stable as agriculture. Trade between classes was stable, but once a peasant tries to trade with a noble, or vice versa, things get hairy. The wealthy, in particular, despise trading with the peasants. They always try to avoid the peasants and usually don't even bother talking to them. The main way of trading is currency for the item. It is not uncommon to see peasants trade one item for another item of equal worth, however. The wealthy always pay with currency. The don't see the worth of trading. If a noble wanted to trade, they would try to get as much worth as possible and give as little worth as possible.

After the Death of King Noah

Once King Noah died, trade basically stopped existing as well as agriculture. People started to take everything and gave nothing but a strong hit to the head. Everybody neglected their farms and let it rot away while they went to steal from a shop or a noble. Even though currency was essentially worthless, people still stole currency and many used that as a bargaining tool amidst the chaos.
