The Weave (ðə wiːv)

Our current definition of The Weave is a channel, which Magic uses to travel to the plane of the Mage. We can interact with The Weave thanks to Leviathan Blood, and we can do so in one of the following ways:

1. Pulling - we can pull on The Weave to move it. The more Leviathan Blood there is, the easier it is to pull, which is why large spells require a lot of blood.
2. Vibrating - you can use sound to vibrate The Weave, the more Leviathan Blood there is, the more responsive it becomes. Complex spells require very specific vibrations on specific points.
3. Swelling - if we scatter Leviathan Blood, it can stick to parts of The Weave and make the strings larger. This is required for some reality-bending abilitites, which we usually do by crushing Blood Crystals.

Magology deals with the practical application of these manipulations.

Manifestation

It's a gigantic, invisible web of strings that is present everywhere, like a ball of wool that completely envelops and fills our universe. When we manipulate The Weave we tap into seeing certain strings on it, if one was to see all of it, they wouldn't see past their eyes.
