Kobold

Kobold was a language used by Kobolds to communicate between each other. It was created based on old Dragontongue scriptures, but was later completely replaced by the superior Draconic language due to Dragons understanding that language more than Kobold.

Writing System

The writing system of Kobold was the exact same as that of Dragontongue, just more compact so the reader could tell whether it was one language or the other. It worked with limited symbols due to the small amount of murals that were discovered. The rest of the symbols were improvised to kind of fit, but someone speaking Dragontongue would find it hard to read due to these improvised symbols being rather frequent.

Vocabulary

Due to the ancient Kobold's seclusion from most of society the vocabulary was rather limited. It used old-timey Dragontongue language taken from various scriptures found in Dragon's Den.

Tenses

The Kobold language had no tenses, it was mostly used for present situations. For example a story described in Kobold would just be a series of actions following each other, same as planning something would also be a series of actions following each other - for example: go to place, take food, eat food.

Sentence Structure

Actor - action - object with actor being optional and often skipped. For example "I want to eat" would be "want eat" in Kobold with the actor being heavily implied via body language, context, or tone. Miscommunication was rare due Kobold societies of the time being tribal with a lot of unwritten rules everyone follow. For example when a speaker said "attack food" it was quite clear that everyone was to attack the creature, due to the customs of hunting in packs.
