Devil's Lettuce

Devil's Lettuce is a smoking leaf found in Hell's Gate, a place where Demons and Devils live (hence the name). These plants often slowly burn away and spread their seeds with the smoke they carry. Inhaling their seeds causes their effects to apply.

Mechanics & Inner Workings

Devil's Lettuce is consumed by smoking it. The seeds of the plant then cause the high that comes with Heightened Senses (+2 to wisdom-based ability checks), calmness (+1 to wisdom saving throws), and increased focus (+2 to hit). They also cause addiction and reliance, where a frequent user might no longer be able to focus without them (-2 to hit). When smoked from a pipe, the remaining smoke that comes out the other end only contains a few remaining seeds, so it's only slightly dangerous for second-hand smokers.
