Annular Slimeleaf

The Annular Slimeleaf is a rare, tiny plant with a grey-blue hue to it that is known for the sticky dew (called its slime) it produces after it rains. The slime is produced when the plant soaks up an excess amount of moisture. It's leaf starts to digest itself and the digestive liquid leaks out in its thickest form.   Alchemists usually buy the slime of the plant (or the seeds).

Basic Information

Genetics and Reproduction

The plant releases its seeds when it falls apart (they are grown inside the main stem - the longer it survives with just enough nutrition to not digest itself, the more seeds it grows). These sticky seeds are not carried by the wind but instead fall down to the ground. They are incredibly resistant to damage. The seeds are usually carried when something buries them into the ground either intentionally or by stepping onto them then into softer terrain.

Ecology and Habitats

It prefers environments with low vegetation, dry humidity, and infrequent rains.
