Ithlum
The city of the new frontier. The furthest into the new lands that would be braved, but a starting point for those that strive to discover.
The city has done well for itself, remaining mostly self sufficient except for occasional supplies from Wastone. The city is technically part of Wastone's region, but it only hold minor sway when there. Getting there is when it is a problem!
Demographics
The larger populations tend to be humans, dwarves, and elves. But there is a scattering of the various other races found all around Ithlum.
Government
The city is run by a mayor, advised by the local Head Priest of Zeichros.
Defences
The city has a smaller garrison of defenders that primarily keep the peace and prevent creatures from entering into the city from the forests, hills, and ocean.
Industry & Trade
The city does not export much in terms of trade, but they do supply the other outposts and small villages that have been founded. They accept other goods in exchange for those needed as a barter system generally.
Infrastructure
The city has most major facilities it would need to operate self-sufficiently. It has a Forge, Carpenter, Tailor, Granary, Leatherworker, The Fireside Newt (Tavern), a smaller Marketplace, smaller Docks, smaller Guardhouse, Bank & Currency Exchange of Wastone, and the Diggers Guildhall Echo. This does not include all the smaller or minor businesses or freelancers that work here as well.
Guilds and Factions
The Diggers Guild has a branch here named Guildhall Echo.
History
Ithlum is a village far into the unknowns of the world established about 6 or 7 years prior to the current time after a small crew of Diggers found the island by accident after being lost at sea for several weeks. It was more than suitable for settling and a great point to begin exploring the previously unknown sector. Unfortunately, it took some time for the Diggers Guild to charter a space to bring one of its branch halls into the area, being that the village fell into the region of Wastone. Being known for all of its rules and regulations, it took time (And a lot of paperwork!) to finally get everything in place.
Architecture
The architecture here varies as much as the populations do. Many bring their own architecture with them or incorporate that of neighbors.
Geography
The city sits on a reasonably large island with several large forests as well as rolling hills containing some caves.
Natural Resources
Wood is a resource found commonly on the island, while there are several places where quarries have been dug to collect ores and clay.
