Elysium began life in Heaven, alongside her close companion Emperius, and for a time the two lived happy lives together. Ever the protective one, Elysium was was a skilled fighter, and a little quick to anger, but Emperius always tempered her mood, keeping her out of unnecessary conflicts, for which she was privately thankful. She never knew what her true purpose should be, and when the war broke out, she lost out on the chance to find it.During the war, Elysium stayed close to Emperius, wishing to protect him, but he always counselled mercy and refrained from fighting, adamant that the Agma were not the enemy, certain a resolution could be found. Elysium adhered to his approach, despite growing feelings of resentment and fear, until one fateful day, as the conflict intensified and gamites grew in their numbers, Emperius was struck down at the hands of an agma. Taking him for dead, Elysium's restraint snapped, and she succumbed to her rage, leading her on a rampage, killing everything that stood in her way. Shortly after, Heaven fell, separating the two.
The outwelling of grief, fury, and resentment caused Elysium to become corrupted, manifesting in a second set of teeth beneath her tongue, a representation of her violence. She relinquished any sense of justice or good will, too broken to see the point in kindness or second chances. Instead, she embraced the corruption, turning to face the monster inside, inviting it to reign free. Despite this, she remained cognizant of the one threat she must never underestimate: the inevitable conclusion of unrestrained corruption, rampancy.
