Dairiseki Advent Saga: The Crystal Soul

I never wanted to be this world's villain. I was born during a time of hope, of growth, of adventure. Where any person, of any gender, of any belief, could find their dreams within their grasp. Even I could not resist the temptation, and I took the chance to become something more.   Then the Bleeding happened.   Two worlds which should have never met found themselves intersecting. Rifts tore through the air, revealing to all that we were not alone. There were other planes out there, terrifying and alien. And from these rifts came creatures and monsters that tore through our lands.   Back then, I was chosen to save the world. Now I realize, seeing the seething corruption in the years since, that it deserved to die. Saving it was my biggest mistake, and I'm going to right my wrongs.
