Jedel came to Astra because he was promised a 'vacation', when in truth he was conned and dumped in the frontier land. He then met a group of adventurers when he found a cave to rest in. Even in this situation he remained chipper and polite the group allowed him tag along for their adventure and hasn't left yet. He claimed "I was promised a vacation and I will get my vacation!".
