Gnome

The Gnomes of Terra are small, jovial, inquisitive, and incredibly smart. They are found wherever their hearts desire, sometimes called "Free Folk". Gnomes interests are vast, and it isn't uncommon for Gnomes to take on multiple jobs at once. However Gnomes are stubborn and don't do things they themselves don't want to do. They can be found beneath the earth digging for gems, or running through the Wild Wood spending time with animals. 
The most impressive thing about the Gnomes is their intellect. Considered by many the "smartest" of the races, most Gnomes have a chip on their shoulder when it comes to knowing things. This is only encouraged in Gnomish culture through a keen interest in learning and integrating those pursuits into their society at large. Children learn to read as soon as possible, training is plentiful and cheap.
