Passive Income: Naserine earns ~800gp on average from Taxes and Tariffs. Tax income increases as the town grows, and tariff income increases when you develop new trading partners.
Security: Naserine's wealth is currently protected. It is stored in a rudimentary vault, protected from pickpockets and common thieves, but susceptible to more cunning, premeditated thefts.
City Buildings & Perks
The following is a list of buildings currently constructed (in bold) or being built (not bolded).
Garrison, lv. 1: a small building that supplies the townsfolk with armaments and shelter in a crisis.
Town Guard, lv. 2: provides the town a rudimentary guard force.
Tavern, lv. 1: attracts travelers, lesser sellswords and amateur bards. Useful for Carousing (Downtime).
Library, lv. 1: provides scholarly texts on rudimentary subjects to aid in Research (Downtime).
Magic Shop, lv. 2: provides uncommon and a few rare magic items available for purchase and allows the passive sale of your own unwanted items.
Vaults, lv. 1: provides a secure location for wealth protected from common thieves.
Gold Quarry, lv. 1: produces raw gold ore, which can be traded or bartered with other cities and towns.
Goldsmith (abandoned): Attracts travelers and tradesmen and produces jewelry for sale, useful as gifts or for enchanting as magic items.
City Walls, lv. 1: A short wooden palisade protecting the town, guarded by wooden watchtowers. (30 days remaining)
Garrison, lv. 2: The garrison is fortified as a proper shelter. The weapons cache stored here now includes two semi-portable Ballistas. (15 days remaining)
Guards, lv. 2: The guards receive superior training and their numbers grow five-fold. (30 days remaining)
Wizard's Tower, lv. 1: A tower dedicated to a particular school of magical study. The Master of the Tower can use Downtime to create spells that protect the city as a whole or harm those that would curse the Master's name, for example. (50 days remain)
Retainers
The following NPCs are available to be sent on tasks or to aid you with Downtime.
The Thieving Miscreants. Three young thieves under Kotada's wing.
Wizard's Apprentice. A young wizard, more adept than your common bookworm.
Kylantha. Your captain of the guard, capable in combat and passable in druidic magics.
Godric. Your financial overseer. A poor fighter, but an acceptable diplomat, particularly with commonfolk and undesirables.
