Druids in D&D | World Anvil

Druids

Druids are powerful, often reclusive figures attuned to the natural world and devoted to its protection. Though druids can be as peaceful as a still pond, the natural world is not always calm, and a druid brought to anger can be as ruthless and cunning as a wolfpack.

A Druid's Power

Druids draw their power from the mystical and untamable lands of the Feywild and therefore need not worship any particular deity, however many choose to pay tribute, respect or piety to the matron deity of the wilds, Artoš, or one of her many children.

Druidic Conclaves

A list of the known druidic conclaves is listed below, as well as the most common subclass of druid within each conclave. This table is a suggestion only--your character may belong to a reclusive conclave that has yet to reveal themselves, or form their own conclave, or they may be a lone wolf and belong to no conclave at all.

Hidden Forms

Each Druidic Conclave holds mastery over one or several secret shapeshifting techniques which they share with only their dearest allies and most capable shapeshifters. A druid who befriends or aids one of these conclaves can be taught these unique forms, which are otherwise unavailable to you.
Druid Circle Druid Subclasses Secret Forms

Legendary Druids

Archdruid Deine the Titan of the North. Tamer of the Beast of a Hundred Heads and Archdruid of the Circle of Titans.   Archdruid Hildegaard the Firepaw. Responsible for reviving the Druids of Scorched Earth, slaying the Fleshcrafter and creating the Druid's Gully oasis. She is currently master of Elethrion Keep. Empress Soranna. The Drakeshifter, and heir to the draconian empire. The Empress was raised in the arid deserts of East Bharazad and took the shape of mighty dragons in battle.

Noteworthy Items

Druid's Welcomes. These are items carved with a single symbol, reading Welcome in the druidic tongue. Often carved into stones, gems or trees, these symbols are imbued with druidic magic and act as a beacon to beasts nearby, inviting them to reside nearby.   Shifting Saddles. Created by Archdruid Deine, these saddles can change shape with the wearer, and well-crafted shifting saddles can adopt the magical abilities of creatures slain by the wearer.   The Wilderwood Staff(item). A staff of powerful druidic magic, once held by Izan the Savage.
