The Law of Power

The Law of Power, dedicated to being the Second of the 9 Laws of magic. Dealing with the laws of how much Magic a Mage uses at a time. As the second law, it is thought to be one of the most important, while still having caveats in the other laws, including The Law of Opposites. Each of its four commandments has to do with how the power of a Mage works and what caveats are included.

Manifestation

The manifestation of the law is thought to be the second

commandment. The exact origin of Relics is unknown, as they are a form of Magical object that has existed since before the time of written history. However, it is thought by the Mage's Guild that Relics are merely the physical formation of Magic, allowing Mages to increase their level of power. Beyond Relics, the Law of Power, like many of the 9 Laws of Magic, is a metaphysical law.

Magic, in its natural state, can only be found in Mages at a constant rate
Commandments
  1. Levels of Magic are constant
  2. Relics are the only way to increase power
  3. Relics may only affect a single Mage at a time
  4. The Law of Opposites breaks the natural order of power
