Dune Rings

Dune Rings are rings that are made from dune stones and iron. Generally made by using smaller dune stones, they are placed on a ring of iron for Mages to easily be able to use to recognize Magic. As many of the smaller Dune Stones have been used, the term has expanded to be more of an umbrella term for any iron and dune stone combination; this is because necklaces and other jewelry have been made from large stones to allow a greater amount of production.

Materials

Dune rings are a fairly simple form of technological item. Built to serve their purpose and nothing more, dune rings are simply made of dune stones, usually a single stone, and iron bands.

Manufacturing

To create dune rings, a dune stone, generally of a smaller radius, must be placed into a metal ring, generally formed from iron, and spiraled into a ring shape. Generally, to create the perfect shaped ring, a Iron Magic Mage will form the iron bands so that it perfectly attached to the dune stone and owner's hand.

Rarity

Dune rings, along with general dune stones, are fairly common around Cysian. While the Mage's Guild hold most of the control over the substance and ring, they still have a constant flow to allow every Mage to have some form of a dune ring.

Significance

They are significant as they act as a way to hold dune stones, which are the only way to detect a Mage's power level
