The Mechanists

The Mechanists are a group of raiders who are obsessed with mechs. They're based on the planet of Unus but push from the United Trident Systems Military has forced many to move to unsettled systems. Their leader, Zed the Giant, prides himself on the craftsmenship of his personal mech which he built from the scraps of old GR military mechs. The organizations has a ritual known as, "The Ring of Metal". The Ring of Metal is a fight between a combatant (or new recruit), and a member or the leader. Both fighters are in mechs, and the battle takes place within a set time of 10mins. If a new recruit can survive the whole 10mins, or defeats the other combatant, they will become an official member of the Mechanists. If the leader is challaenged to The Ring of Metal and defeated, the winner becomes the new leader of the Mechanists. Zed has yet to be defeated since his rise to power. Thought many have tried only a few have come close to beating him.
