As the guard captain burned, the ruffians leapt into action.
Carlos launched psychic knifes at the reinforced door while Kiff and Bartholomew launched magical attacks from afar at the men on the walls. Gunter and Russel each bashed on the door with their steel weapons.
After 18 seconds the party had broken the door and come inside to quite a sight. Commoners all about wearing leathers and equipped with small hand axes. Their bodies shake as they charge in, commanded by a man in hunting leathers that are stained black and red. The few armored guards charge in with their spears.
Gunter and Russel displace the guards with ease and in the chaos Gunter ends up with the Baron in hand, axe at his throat. Gunter demands the Baron yield he and his men yet the Baron refuses, saying he just wishes to die and meet his children once again.
At the same time Pablo, Kif, and Carlos pulled the cart with all their strength.
As Russel and Gunter backed up with the cart, a swarm of guards and commoners surged on the two in attempt to save their Baron. Yet Bartholomew was ready for this and threw an ice knife that shattered on impact and killed 4 of the 8 in the swarm, including the Baron. Gunter and Russel retreated out the smashed gate door with an unconscious guard in tow. The party regrouped at the bottom of the hilly road, gear in hand.
The party tied up the guard and each slept, Carlos taking first watch, and Pablo taking the second.
Kif, Carlos, Gunter, Barthlomew, and Pablo dreamt deep dreams that night.
