Session Report 13

General Summary

The ruffians arrived in Vallaki after leaving the mysterious carriage and heading on their way.  It was around midday when they got to Vallaki. The guards at the gate demanded 2 extra GP per person for entry as it was the Festival fee for the Festival of the Sun going on in the square. The ruffians argue with the guards yet eventually yield and pay the fee.
As they travel through the town they come upon a procession walking through the town square.
Under threatening skies, a parade of unhappy children dressed as flowers trudges through the muddy streets, leading the way for a group of sorry-looking men and women carrying a ten-foot-diameter wicker ball. The burgomaster and his smiling wife, who holds a sad bouquet of wilting flowers, follow the procession on horseback. As weary spectators watch from their stoops, the ball is borne to the town square. There, it is hoisted and hung from a fifteen-foot-high wooden scaffold, and townsfolk take turns splashing it with oil. Before the wicker sun can be set ablaze, the sky tears open in a sudden downpour. “All will be well!” cries the burgomaster as he brandishes a sputtering torch and marches defiantly through the rain toward the wicker ball, only to have his torch go out as he thrusts it into the sphere.
A singular laugh erupts from the crowd, drawing the burgomaster’s fiery gaze as well as gasps from the townsfolk.
The laughter comes from a guard who the Baron orders arrested. The Baron then  precedes to break the mans fingers in the stockades while most of the crowd either watch on or begin to disperse to their hovels.
Gunter approaches the Baron and inquires on the Baron's governance style. The Baron bites back but eventually after some talking the Baron decides to invite the ruffians over to discuss a Gate Pass.
At the Baron's Estate the ruffians discuss the semantics of what they need to do in order for the Baron to notarize them each a Gate Pass. The Baron says that he needs a magical item, preferably a book of some sort from this old Mage Retreat up near the peak of Mount Ghakis.
The party agrees to get it and they head out for Krezk to pick up the armor. It is late afternoon, around 4 or 5 by the party gets to Krezk.
After a quick discussion with the guard captain and subsequently the Baron, the ruffians are told that they will need to bring a fine silk dress to gain entry to the gatehouse. The ruffians argue yet the Baron remains firm.
So instead of taking the path through Krezk to the armorer residing in the abbey, Pablo morphs into a raven and flies to the abbey.
Pablo talks with the Abbot as he dances with a beautiful women in a raggy dress. After the Abbot sees the work order he calls in a human that look mutated with webbed hands and ears that fit onto a bat. The mutated human goes to grab the items. Abbot asked Pablo to aid in bringing the gear down to the gate yet Pablo declines and flies out of the window as a raven.
After 2 hours or so the ruffians approach the gate and ask if their items are there. The Gate guard says yes but that the Baron will not allow them to transport their goods outside the city with the dress needed. After some intense debating, Pablo had enough and decided to burn the captain alive with a classic bonfire.
  He succeeded and chaos ensued.
  Madam Eva Predictions
"I see the hoofs of a beast with horns of ivory and blood heading for us. He carries a pack, three harboring eyes of pure jet black, one of the green wilds, and one with the blue iris of a human."
"Tree's rise in the image of our lord, crushing the stones beneath them as they move and scaring off the ravens perched upon the branches."
"The master's son attempts to escape while so do his people, each through mead or magic."
"A deer prances through the woods north of the lake, watching with eyes of understanding and insanity."
