Cultiva

Cultivo is a world where magic and technology blend seamlessly. Long ago, magic, the relatively weak universal force that weaved through everything, was only used for parlor tricks and basic survival skills. With enough concentration and planning, a skilled mage could create a campfire-sized fire from nothing and maintain it for only a few minutes, and that would leave the mage exhausted for several days. For anything more than that, rituals needed to be conducted with exponentially increasing numbers of mages.   It wasn't until some ingenious scientist discovered a method to reflect and amplify the energy, allowing the mystical force to be utilized efficiently and without the threat of diminishing returns.   This revelation began a global technological arms race of sorts. Magic, with its universal applicability suddenly became feasible for individuals to harness and use, and suddenly impassable walls of technology were vaulted over as if they were nothing.   Fast forward to present day. There are five major tech firms making everyday life safe and convenient and the world as a whole is enjoying a tentative peace.
