Crutha

Created by

A once booming capital of technology and advancements, Crutha is a land that has retreated to their ends of the world after a plague had destroyed the Tellurian Capital. With the uprising of magic, Cruthian tech has grown to combine mechanics and magick together. Through this, only the most wealthy are able to rule the region. Crutha thrives on magic infused with technology economically, and because most of the population is living close to the source, there is also conflict with fears and worries about the Bloody Boils coming back. They are very technology heavy, reliant on new and innovative tech that could give them an upper hand if/when another plague were to come.   Before the fall, there was a lot of business within the Tellurian capital for newer technology. Since the fall, Crutha has isolated itself from the world, since trade with the others proves difficult. There are magic-infused walls protecting Crutha borders should another plague arrive or monsters attack. Crutha was devastated from the plague, where the capital fell in ruins, and eventually people stopped going outside. If someone started showing signs of blood boils in their limbs, they would be amputated. When the source started to surge, Crutha was able to create magic-infused prosthetics for those who needed them, which allowed seamless movement, as if the original/fully functioning limb was still there. Because their tech is infused with magic, there are endless possibilities! There are prosthetics, weapons, machines, vehicles, and telecommuters. Most of it is due to paranoia of the plague, however, it does an overall good when the citizens are able to live without worrying about disability holding them back.   The weather and climate of Crutha is, to put it simply, hot. And dry. The land itself is desert and sand everywhere, allowing advancements in technology to rise at startling speeds.   The population of Crutha consists of mostly humans with some other races living in the Capital. Before the plague, they were very diverse with communities of different races. Now, they have shut the borders completely out of fear the Boils would come back. No one is allowed into their borders, so all trade is done at the walls and those who work on ships are scanned fully to ensure health before anyone is allowed back into Crutha. They tried to move their capital somewhere else, but the transportation of all peoples and rebuilding of buildings was not as economically efficient for the greedy CEOs, so the Cruthian Capital stayed close to the Fallen Capital, raising fears of the citizens.   Crutha's alliance with Agris Ferro, the neighbors at the border, consisted of trading materials for technology and worked together to build The Harvester years ago when the source started growing. As of present day, they still uphold the alliance and will trade for goods when needed. Crutha also has a trading alliance with the UTN (United Tilaridian Nations), but it's very specific, since all sea ports were shut down after isolating, one was reopened on the far west side of the region to continue trading, but since the capital is on the East coast near the fallen city, transportation has to be efficient from across the region. Crutha is mostly self sufficient, where the region can depend on themselves for a majority of basic living situations. However, their alliances with Agris Ferro and the UTN allow them a flow of minerals and agriculture to make up for the desert terrain. They are mostly isolated, with the exceptions of trade here and there in order to continue being the technology hub of the world.   Crutha's class and wealth is currently on the incline due to the demand of magic-infused technology. People are either extremely wealthy or dirt poor in this event. They have a strong militia, just in case anything happens, but they do not have the resources to have a fully functioning military in the case of war. CEOs themselves rule over the region, as the previous government before the plague was never able to fully recover. Because of this, there is no enforced law outside of the Crutha capital, and even then, it is rarely enforced. The poor have no luck in finding justice for themselves, while the rich is always right. Petty crimes and murder is really the only crime to happen in Crutha. The only people who would have the means to be organized crime are the CEOs, but they are already in a place of power and have no need for the trifling actions of everyday people. There is no war within the land. The plague made Crutha come together in solidarity, and since the land is desert and vast, the towns of people barely interact besides the shipment of goods to have conflict.
