Cruento Terram

789 After Swords Fell (ASF)

Created by

The world of Cruento Terram is a bloody one. The reason for their unusual name for their time is because 789 years ago, a war so horrible and bloody occurred that no current kingdom claims to know much about it, and a lot of technology and history before this date is forgotten or legend, such as the legend of other continents and civilizations. In the northern most side of the main continent “Eurastus” is the medieval kingdom of Malleus ruled by King Gaius Jorrum, elected by the heroes of Malleus. Malleus is a religious kingdom obsessed with death and how one dies, and is war-like in nature. In the north of the continent where Malleus is the world would seem bleak, full of mountains and deep forests. What is on the other side of the northern most mountain range is largely unknown, and the Mallean’s have no ambition to find out. Go south and you will find the minor kingdoms of Eurastus, most importantly, Daena, Thruum, The Adrorian Empire, and Haestfal, all kingdoms of varying cultures, governments, resources, and religions. Daena is the southernmost kingdom of them all, so far south that they are bordering the ancient forest tribes, their territory largely made of hills and forests. The Thruum are closest to the Kingdom of Malleus, and inhabit the ruby mountain, named so for it’s abundance of such a comparatively rare resource. They are small in size and population, but are rich in gold and ore, taking up mostly rocky, mountainous terrain. The Kingdom of Haestfall is primarily on the West Coast and features sandy beaches mixed with grasslands and long rolling hills and valleys, but only small forests. Finally, the recently formed Adrorian Empire is not such a minor kingdom anymore, and hails from the eastern islands and coast. They are much closer to the shore than the Haestfall, and have much less grasslands or forests, resulting in less horses. Farther south are the ancient tribes, inhabiting the southern third of the continent, they are hundreds of tribes of pagan peoples, varying in wide degrees of technology, religion, and culture, but always united to fight the kingdoms of the north. They start with deep forests and hidden clearings when you enter, then turn to colder and colder lands as you delve deeper, until eventually you reach the shore. Across the shore are the tribe of the Sea Dragons, or the ancient tribes who learned the ways of seafaring and more importantly, raiding from their icy islands.
