Creedolith

The world of Creedolith is imbued with magic. When humans were first created, all humans could perform magic. Each group of people were created at different places in the world- the Cathal came from the Northernmost point, the Usran (later known as the Jadorians) came from the Westernmost point, the Ellisadians from the Southernmost point, the people of the Yamagoe Isles from the centerpoint, the Afnir from the Easternmost point. Magic was tied to this most sacred of spaces, and as each of these peoples moved away from the sources of their magic and diffused throughout the world, their connection to their power lessened. As a result, some folk who have remained closer to the source of their magic and their peoples (the Cathal and the Yamagoe, for instance) remain in close connection to their abilities, while others (such as the Jadorians and the Afnir) have moved so far away from the source of their magic that they can no longer utilize the abilities they once had. The explored areas of Creedolith comprise one major continent, the Jadoric Continent, along with three smaller surrounding continents, closer to islands. The Jadoric Continent is occupied by the Jadorian Empire, a strong infrastructure that has its origins in a mysterious and difficult-to-reach island to the West, Usra, and its ally to the North, the Cathal, clan-organized folk who have retained a connection to their local magic, unlike the Jadorians, who lost their connection to their magic when they left their home in the East. To the Southeast is the Yamagoe archipelago, a people who are even more closely connected to their magic than most Cathal, and they guard their capital, the focal point of their magic possessively. Together, the Yamagoe, the Cathal, and the Jadorian Empire have allied against the Ellasadians, a Kingdom centered on the large isle to the East of the Yamagoe, and who have recently launched an invasion of their northern neighbor, the Afnir.
