Chaos Crown

Back when King Odalis was a child his father and mother wanted to create a piece of jewellery that would give the wearer an ability to amplify their power just by wearing it. They were successful in their journey to create this artefact, after many years of researching and trying to find ways to trap the elements so they can be controlled they managed it. The crown that they made was a beautiful golden band that had range of rare gemstones embedded along the middle of the band creating a rainbow effect that shined when the wearer moved. These gemstones though were purely for decoration as the real power was situated in the front of the headdress in a diamond pattern.   On the top was the symbolic element of wind, this is a stone that was made from connecting all the aspects of a birds life. A Kestral was raised from birth in the royal avery with the egg it came from, its first egg and its skull and wing bones were taken once it had died a natural death. These were all ground down into a powder that was then heated and compressed through high powered mages until it forms a crystal. The second and third crystals are next to each other on the diamond points, the crystal on the left is the fire crystal, this is made from ashes from a fire that created a fire snake, the snake was then in turn kept confined until it died then the bones from it combined with the ashes so it could be combined to form the crystal. The crystal on the right is the representation of water this is sea water taken from a beach on the southern side of the island. As well as the fresh water from a natural occurring spring in the Gwybod Mawr, these two were combined and thickened into a paste which could then be dried and ground so it could be pressed into a stone. The final of the crystals on the diamond is the bottom point this is the earth stone, having been made from mud from the highest point in the lands and the lowest of the sea beds combined and powered to create the stone.   The combination of these elements in the crown that would be placed over the forehead turned out to be too powerful as it became tainted by the need for power that brought about its creation. The legends only talk of this artefact being created and its destruction, but not the cause as to why it had to be destroyed. Some say that it sent the wearer mad, others insist that it caused them to have all the energy sucked out of them until it caused their death when they tried to make a spell. All that everyone knows for certain is that it was sent away by the king to be destroyed and scattered so that it could harm no one else again.
